Ofsted Inspectors and drinks

Just a thought really ............... I had my inspection last week and when I offered the inspector a drink, she asked for a drink of hot water. At my last inspection, the inspector asked for a glass of water. I notice on another thread that an inspector asked for a drink of hot water.
Are they not allowed to drink anything other than water? Do they think we may add something to their tea/coffee to influence their decision?:laughing:

I offered my inspectors a cold drink as I don't do hot drinks in the living room while minding, and if they do want a hot drink they have to stand in the hallway behind the gate away from the children like I have to lol!

Mine had a cup of tea that I put on the breakfast bar she was sitting on. Made sure it wasnt on reach of the children and she was happy as her last inspection didnt offer one at all

Mine didn't even accept a drink of water......kills me to see people not keep their fluids up, she was here for over 3 hours and not a drop of fluid passed her lips!!!!

I read somewhere they are told not to accept things from us...and now I can't remember why! :laughing:
