I want to start sending out invoices by email and have made up a template in word, but want to convert it to pdf so it can't be changed.
Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks! :)

don't know if it works for everyone but I click 'save as' then under the 'file name' box I've got a 'save as type' box, if I click the down arrow there's the option to save as PDF, it's under all the word options.
Hope it works

Thanks Jax, I've just tried that but there's no pdf listed.

Does that mean I haven't got the software to do it, and if so can I download it anywhere for free?

I'm not sure, try a google search, my OH took my laptop off and one of his colleagues 'fixed' it, I didn't know it was broken!!! and it came back with all the programmes I need on it and none of the rubbish that I don't use.

i think that you might need Adobe Reader - you can download this from here...

http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

Or if not, you could scan your invoices and save them as a .jpg file and then it can be emailed.

yes it is adobe reader it's also here

https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=en

But I think you can make word documents read only, so they can't be altered too. If you've got the most recent word it's in FILE - INFO - PROTECT DOCUMENT
In there you can mark the document as final so it's read only, restrict editing etc.
