hi all,
i have 2 babies age 8 mth and 10 mths and i need to apply for a variation because i also have two 3 year ols aswel (one is mine), i need a variation for a fri as one of the babies need to come to me full time. both babies started end of feb, my question is how long do the children have to be coming to you before you can apply for a variation based on continuity of care?:panic:

I'd say nows a good time. Extending hours is a good reason for asking for a variation. :D
I dont think theres a fixed amount of time that the child has to be with you so go for it

I don't think there's a time limit but obviously Ofsted may look at the reasons for the application.

I had to apply once when grandparents decided they couldn't cope with doing all the days I couldn't manage because I was full - the child had only been coming to me a few weeks but Ofsted still granted the variation.

Miffy xx

i'm just worried they wont approve 4 under 5's because i already have 2 under 1's !!!
may just apply and see what they say.

It's definately worth requesting a variation. Good luck
