Hi, just thought I would share this idea with you for mothers day ... it can be done with very little ones as well. A4 sheet of card/paper with this poem printed on it ......

HANDS OF LOVE

There are so many of my fingerprints to see,
On the furniture and walls and things,
From sticky, grubby me.

But, if you stop and think awhile,
You’ll see I’m growing fast,
Those little handprints disappear
You can’t bring back what’s past.

So here’s a small reminder
To keep, not wipe away,
Of tiny hands and how they looked,
To make you smile some day!

then underneath hand prints in paint, abit of glitter sprinked on to make it look pretty and sparkly, laminate it (if you have one) if not, just do it on thick card, hole punch the top and thread some ribbon through so mum can hang up.

A lovely verse. I do this for parents on the child's first birthday and they are always thrilled with this keepsake

I had this verse on a kit my eldest son made some 30 years ago, this has just made me smile from ear to ear, thank you. :)

Thanks for this, I have been looking for it for years!!
My daughter brought something home from nursery 14 years ago with this on, she was quite ill at the time and the thought of this poem makes me so emotional every time I think of it, but I didnt know all the text!!

Thankfully she is well now and I think I will share with the children I care for.
