I have a child leaving this week and thought it might be nice to get them to fill in a short questionnaire so I could collect some compliments! Does anyone do this? If so what do you ask?

I think it's a good idea. Not all parents want to write a reference (they don't know what to put), so asking them to fill in a quesionnaire is an easier thing for them to do. I also think that as the child is leaving you, parents are more likely to be honest as they probably won't see you again!

I ask:

Do you think your child has enjoyed their time with me

Are you happy with the care your child has received

Have you been happy with the ways I have shared information with you

Do you feel I have provided a good range of activities and opportunities for you child

Would you say I am easy to approach if you have any concerns, questions or suggestions

What do you particularly like about the way I work, or the care your child has received

Do you have any suggestions for any changes I could make

Would you be happy to recommend me to other parents looking for childcare

Do you have any other comments you would like to make

I ask parents if they will write me a reference when they leave, usually get nice comments on those
