When you employ an assistant to you change all your policies and procedures to read we instead of I - us instead of I. eg I/we ask parents to inform us

No I personally don't I just get them to sign a consent form to say that they agree to an assistant being able to have the same rights as myself with reference to the policies and consents etc. just in case I decide to work on my own again but then I employ my assistant , so maybe others might do it slightly different maybe if they have a co minder . :)

No, you are the childminder and they are your P & Ps so they would normally stay as your name.

You then talk the assistant through them and s/he agrees to them.

If you worked with another childminder you might draw up joint P & Ps.

Hth :D
