Snow/Ice theme

All this week we have been looking at Snow & Ice.
We have;

*Made an Igloo den
*Made an Artic Small World scene
*Made a Winter animal collage
*Made a Winter Sport collage
*Made a snow collage
*Made a paper plate Penguin
*Talked about how to keep warm and what clothes to wear, we then made a picture and stuck on warm clothes where the children thought they should go on the body.
*We had a dressing up race, putting on hats, gloves, scarf, coats & wellies.
*We have sung songs about polar bears and penguins
* We have read books; Guess How much do I love you in the Winter, Ridiculous & All about Snow.
*The children have been out playing in the snow and they have been touching ice cubes.
*We have painted a picture using ice cube frozen paints
*We have frozen small items over night and watched them melt the next day.

Love all of these ideas. We have not had any snow in Liverpool, so I have just concentrated on ice in the garden, on on plants and cobweb's. :(
