I posted on here about a month ago as I got given one. They are the easiest cake to make. As long as you add the flour, sugar, oil, eggs, salt & baking powder you can do what you like with the rest. You just stir and don't have to worry about getting enough air in or bashing it out.

I just used up what we had in the cupboards from Christmas so the first one I did was eating apples, cranberrys & glace cherries with vanilla essence. I then kept one of his babies and did Cherry & dark chocolate!

It really was delish. Hoping to get another one sometime.

Twinkles gave me one, made it and gave mindees one each ( the older ones) to take home.

DH took half of the cooked cake into work for the lads there was so much of it. :)

I received a Friendship cake yesterday too! I have to keep reading the instructions to make sure I'm doing everything correctly (only stirring it well so far though!). Apparently it's day 4 today so will need to add the flour, sugar and milk later.
My SIL brought some that she had baked and it was delicious.

I remember it from when I was a child. I can't remember much about it other than that it was yummy!

All the women at my mums church used to do this when I was a kid. There was always mixture on at least one of their window ledges brewing away.
