LEA pre registration course

Hi,
I'm a qualified Early Years Teacher who would really love to become a childminder. However I was desperately disappointed today to learn that the next pre registration course from my Council is September!! As it is only now the beginning of February it seems ridiculous amount of time to wait- is there any way I can get over this- Any ideas/ advice would be great.

Unfortunately with the cut backs this is happening to more and more people.

The only way round it might be to ask if there are any online courses they would accept - but you'd probably have to fund it yourself.

You will also need first aid so find out the dates of those courses locally.
