Decided to "go for it". Filled in a long a boring initial assessment document, sent it back with a sigh of relief thinking that, "whoa that wasn't too bad", promptly got sent back two more even harder lengthy documents to fill in, its taking me back to my NVQ3 days..... ouch...

anyway ploughing through on my day off... hit a question I really don't know how to answer, so asking you lovely ladies for some help.

Please provide evidence of you understanding of the requirement for the arrangements for support of an Early Years qualified teacher.

Thank you in advance - back to it now....

Here we have an early years support teacher in each area of the county, they are there for advise and support most primarily linked to children accessing 3 and 4 year old funding( although ours is brilliant and supports all childminders) she gives advise in lj's next steps, types if activities. When you hit a particular problem she gives advice and ideas to overcome it. She specialises in ecat and shares all her knowledge.
She will sign post you to other sources if help if she can't eg senco.

I'm accredited and was allocated an EY Teacher, she is there to support and advise. She visits on a regular basis and is available to speak to if I need her.

When I was first accredited she came each mth for 3 mths then had a gap of 3 mths then 6mths to a yr, she wanted to make sure I was ok with the planning and paperwork. She also gave advise on the children's LJ's and transfer forms.

Thanks guys, it seem like a good thing to have, but I have contacted my DW and found out we actually don't have one at the moment, but I still have to write something for the question.

Should have been better at creative writing. :D

My Development Officer completed that question for me, this is all she put:-

"Early years teachers attend childminder support sessions, children centres, nurseries and pre-schools".
