I've booked myself on an early years conference in Feb that's called "Boys, Boys and Girls" - covers weapon/superhero play, schemas relating to boys' play, letters/sounds, inclusive play using sensory materials, engaging with young parents and much more. It sounds really good, I'm looking forward to it. Have any of you been on this before (or an equivalent) and are any of you in the Kent area attending?

That sounds interesting. I tried to book on to a course like this last year in my area but was told it was only suitable for people doing the EYPS as was aimed at people with ability to study at a higher level. I asked if they would do one for other people and was told no! I have done a foundation degree in early years and pointed out that if I could afford time and money wise to do the EYPS I would and then would be allowed to do it so if they had any spaces left maybe I could be put on as an extra and I would try extra hard but was still told it wasn't suitable for me!
