Pre-reg briefing sessions in Birmingham

I have contacted my local Family information Service for South Birmingham regarding pre-reg sessions and they have told me they are not holding such sessions at the moment. :( I am a bit concerned as everything I have read says that I must attend one of these. All they gave me was the telephone number for the local NCMA branch.

Has anyone attended a pre-reg briefing in South Birmingham recently?

I'm in north birmingham, but I had the same, do first aid and intro. duction to child minding course then development officer comes out with form for ofsted, pretty much left to make my own decisions, that said I was much better armed after the introduction course.
