Chinese New Year ideas for 13 month & 6 month old?? Help!

Am starting work again tomorrow following my mat leave with a day's settling in session with my new 13 month old mindee, & although I have gone to the effort of decorating the playroom for chinese new year I'm feeling guilty that I haven't planned to do some sort of simple chinese new year themed activity with them as I just couldnt think of anything....any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

how about a bowl of cooked noodles to explore?

and maybe even some uncooked noodles to scrunch?

maybe you could put a mat on the floor and let them sit & explore?

my 11mth old was fascinated by the noodles last week. she liked eating them too ;)
