In your attendance register ( for those who have one ) do you write in actual time mindees are with you or time they should be with you

Eg : lo contracted 9- 4 gets dropped off 9.05 and picked up 3.45 what do you put???

I write the actual time they were with me as then if anything untoward happens outside of those times I can evidence that they were not in my care!

Hope that helps.

Yes you have to record the actual hours that they attend on that day-not the contracted hours.

I put hours that they are contracted but that's mainly because they haven't been picked up early or late, yet!

The actual hours - it needs to be this in case of the police/courts needing it

I have both the contracted time and the actual time the children were with me on my registers.

For Ofsted we need to record the actual times the children are with us - I know you're in Scotland so it might be different for you.

It needs to be the actual time.

If you think about it, there's no point just putting down contracted times as every day/week/month would be exactly the same, unless they weren't there for some reason.

I write who is in and their contracted hours in my daily diary.
I write the EXACT times in my attendance register for parents to sign.

I record from the time the child enters my care to the time they walk out the door / are dropped off.

This includes when the parent is hanging around chatting.
