Had new slippers for Christmas and they are already looking manky and have holes.I am looking for ones that keep my ankles warm too. They must be ones that I will look tidy in but I still want my sons girlfriend to think they are cool IYSWIM. Also sturdy enough to survive a quick nip outside to put a nappy in the bin.

Am I expecting too much of a pair of slippers? What kind do you have?

oooh I have slipper problems as well - my dd's call me old granny slippers  so I am after a cool pair too!

They all wear these slipper sock things but I need a sole!

Debating on whether to buy a cheap pair of uggs

or what about a pair of ugg style boots that you keep for indoors only (just the tesco/asda versions).

Im a bit of a slipper adict lol,, I have slip on slippers with hard soles for during the working day,, I have ankle high fluffy slippers for the weekend when im not going anywhere and have some from asdas for the evenings which are half way up my leg, very fluffy with bobbles and and a hard sole then i have some reindeer ones the kids bought me for christmas.
I like the slip on ones best cause i can put them on and off as I need,, I keep flipflops by the back door for going down the garden or nipping to the bin,, they are not the sort that goes between your toes but the sort that wrap round your feet.

I bought these for my mum for Christmas - she had similar criteria and seems pleased with them (she is 47) and I (30) and my dd (6) think they look cool! (If that helps?!)

They are lush and I am wearing them now! I have to really yank them though to get them over my not so slender calves!
