i'd still get them to sign a contract agreeing to hours, how much notice to be given, holidays, confidentiality ( children & families, yours, theirs ), working with you & parents, meals, get them to read your policies and sign to say they have read and anything else you can think of!

i also made sure i had address and contact numbers, and also emergency contacts and any medical details!!!
( this was for my MUM !!!! LOL !!! )
