As the title says what is the longest you work either with one mindee or all day.

I have just finished an 11 hour day with one mindee who comes once a week as parent (friend) need me to keep mindee a little longer today .

Arrived at 7.20am and left at 6.30pm :yawning::yawning::yawning: On a normal day I still have them 10 hours  glad its only once a week:jump for joy:

My longest day with a mindee is 8am to 4pm and even then it's not very often as it depends on Mum's shifts, it's normally just 10am to 4pm :)

I usually work 8am until 6pm I used to work 7.30am until 6pm but I put a stop to it. In an ideal world I wouldn't work past 5.30pm as I have my own 2 young children to see to but needs must and this particular mindee and her family are lovely so I do.

Presently work between 11 and 12 hours every day (6.30am to 5.30/6pm). Used to do 7am to 9.30 pm (14.5hours!) but it was dreadful and I'd never do it again.

Gosh well done all you. Im glad I only do it once a week. I did used to do it 3-4 days a week but my after schooler recently left me so most days I finish at 4.30 which allows me some family time with my 2 ds's :clapping: We work such long hours for such small pay does anyone really know how lucky they are to have us

I used to have one child from 7.30am through till 9.30/10pm then the child started school so i would have her before school and then after school till them - this was twice a week, occasionally three times a week.... LONG LONG day for all involved.

I currently look after two little ones from 7am to 7pm two days per week - the last hour is usually the worst as I need to keep them awake and they are so tired and grumpy, bless them! xx

The longest day I work is 7.30am til 8.15pm. Its really hard as X is only 4 and get tired and I insist my own children age 4 and 6 goes to bed at 7.00pm and 7.15pm and my eldest goes at 8.00pm and THEY THINK ITS SOOOOOO UNFAIR that X gets to stay up and they dont .....

What a horrible mum I am ?

I have one mindee who arrives at 8am and leaves at 6pm and the others vary but I always do a 10 hour day. Some people don't appriciate that we do 50 hours a week, my DH included. They think that as we are home it is not the same as someone who "goes out to work", or that is what my sister told me.

My longest hours are 8am - 6pm, although I did work up to 7.30pm one night as a one off as it was Parents evening.

I know these are short hours compaired to some CM's but I'm knackered by 6pm :D

I work 6.30-6pm, daily. I have done this for a number of years.

From May one of my early starters is finishing as mum going on maternity leave. The other early starter only comes 2 days a week so I will then have 3 days a week starting at 7.45am! Cant't wait for the lie in.

As a rule I do 8am - 5pm, although that sometimes stretches to 7.45am - 5.15pm.

After years of early starts and late finishes I am now quite strict about what I take on. Nothing that requires an early start or a late finish!

Well usually these are my working hours

Mon Pick up first mindee at 5:50 (so leave home at 5:30) last one goes 18:30
Tues Pick up mindee at 5:50 - last one goes 18:00
Wed start at 6:30 - finish 22:30 (sometime earlier but not that often)
Thurs and Friday as Wednesday

Sat and Sun also 6:30 - 22:30

Then once or twice a week I babysit at one mindees house all night

Tonight is one of those nights

So actually a slightly later start today at 7am - childminding until 18:30 - straight to babysitting until 5:30 Friday morning bring mindee to mine - start childminding and will finish at 18:30 Friday night (and then have 16hr shifts Sat and Sun.

I do work long hours - especially as for 10 hours Monday - Friday I usually have 4 under 3's in my care (and often 4 under 2's)

Oh well it pays the bills - and I prefer to be busy

Penny :)

Noone told me what long days this job was going to be. 7.30 - 6 on Mondays and Tuesdays, 8-6 Wednesdays (a lie in ). Still need to fill up the last two days of the week, although what with those three days and my after schoolie I'm doing a full time job equivalent in hours!
