Hi, I need help as I am new to this...I am quite embarrassed but here goes..........i lost my father suddenly (i was 22) 14 years ago and went into depression, stole from my employer and made a hoax call as i had issues with them. I went to court and out on probation. I came out of it after seeing a councillor to deak with his death etc. I am doing my course but concerned about the outcome as i really want to be a childminder. I was young, depressed and didnt know whet i was doing....can anyone help????

I can't see how stealing would make you unsuitable to look after children, aggression yes but not stealing.
Often when a childminder has/ had depression they seek specific evidence from the doctor to check you willcope with the stresses. I had severe pnd and they registered me no problem.
Why dont you give ofsted a call, most often they are really helpful and might just put your mind at rest.
