Hi everyone

I have reserved my place on my local authorities pre-registration course which is in February. :clapping:

I've just requested the information from my local college to reserve my place on the paediatric first aid course.

What else can I be doing in the meantime? Are there any books I can buy to start getting to grips with the EYFS?

I'm also eager that after Xmas we start to prepare the house and start buying all the necessary equipment etc. Is there some sort of guide I can look at now for doing this? We are going to have to spread the cost so I want a bit of a headstart on this also.

Any help is most appreciated

Can someone tell me what requirements I need to meet re. childproofing my house. What safety devices I'd need to buy etc?

I have an open plan kitchen/lounge, would I need some sort of gate or just locks on all the cupboards?

Hi Pickle

When I first started I copied the requirements in the EYFS pack and ticked every one of them off as I did them. I keep a copy and check them regularly to ensure I am still able to maintain the legal requirements.

Which register are you planning to go on?

As age is a factor when you put in place some of your equipment e.g. locks etc
Plus there are different requirements for under 5's and for over 5's.
Before investing too much make sure you know what is needed.
