Hi, I am already registered etc and was childminding in my own home until a couple of months ago when I separated from my husband. I am now looking to rent a house and was hoping to start childminding again. However I spoke to one agency today and was told that they do not allow childminding in their properties. Am I going to find this with all rented property? I have appointments to view a few houses with different agencies in the next couple of weeks. I am not in a position to buy a house at the moment, so does that mean I won't be able to childmind?

Plenty of people childmind from rented properties it just depends on the landlord. There are some threads on here about renting, try doing a search.

A lot of rented properties do not allow people to run a business... but others do.

it's something I would always check though because if you don't have permission your insurance might be invalid.
