Hi all, I'm having a mind blank! I want to make snow shakers with plastic bottles and glittery bits, and I can't for the life of me think what liquid to put inside! Is it baby oil? Many thanks x

Kirstie did it on tv with 1 teaspoon of glycerin. :) so maybe same quantity of baby oil?

wouldn't baby oil just sit on the surface? the idea is the water becomes more dense - but oil and water don't mix so I'm not sure it would be as effective.

Maybe something like sugar syrup might work?

You used to be able to get glycerin from Boots, via the chemist counter.

Don't know if they still do it though.

Just got mine from local chemist. Making them next week as we are waiting for the figure to set in the clay first

Hi

We are also making them next week. I have searched alot on the internet, there is a varying number of ways to do them, but apparently baby oil is better with fake snow, it floats longer!

I am a bit confused as to what clay to use, will it not go funny in the water?

If you go on 'youtube' there are lots of videos with some fab results! some just super-glued a blob of clay on the lid and stuck the figure in? some used the sparkly confetti bits, they all looked great!
