Think I might get some cheap picture frames from Ikea - they were 4 in a pack wooden for about 99p then the children can paint and decorate them (remove glass first) then put in a photo.

Last year they made badges which I got from baker ross.

Or you could make chocolate fudge, rosettes or certificates for dad.

I'm sure there will be lots more ideas as we get closer to the day

Some craft ideas here

A few poems that you could do with a few handprints

"My dirty little fingerprints
I've left on every wall,
And on the drawers and table tops,
I've really marked them all.
But here is one that won't rub off,
I'm giving it to you,
Because I'm thankful for a daddy just like you!"

Daddy I Love you
Daddy, I love you
For all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too.
You feed me and need me
To teach you to play,
So smile 'cause I love you
On this Father's Day.

.................................................. .

This isn't just any handprint
As you can plainly see.
For it’s a special handprint
Made by Me!

Along with this handprint
Come hugs and kisses too
I hope that we have lots of fun
To last this whole year through.

There was a good idea in creative steps. As this is an Olympic year make a gold disc by covering a circle with gold shiny paper and put DAD on it, thread ribbon through and hang on a card.

We'll be making cards and was going to get some clay and make 'daddy ornaments' and then paint them, oh the fun!
