Hello..things have changed a bit since i was last working as a childminder..have been working in nurseries but want to come back to minding and am in the process of starting up..how long does it all take these days?..i'm nvq3 and got my first aid..can't wait to get started, have started to make lists of things i need to do and buy:) I have parents waiting for me to get going and don't want to keep them or their children waiting too long..

I think it varies depending on where you live. It took me 7 months from attending my ICP to being registered.
I am sure you will get diff answers but good luck and I hope it doesn't take you too long!

It really does depend on where you live... and how long your CRB takes...

Your local CIS should be able to give you some idea of how long it's taking in your area...
