I watched a programme on them a while ago, a woman went to America to get one she bought a really expensive pram and clothes to bring it home in and used to take it out for walks as if it was a real baby!!! Sad in a way!! :(

OMG it's very creepy but there are a LOT of women who buy these dolls to fill a gap in their lives. Each to their own I suppose, at least it wouldn't wake you in the night!

I saw a program about a women who lost a child and had one of these made to look like her child.

It filled a gap in her life and each to there own but they are not my cup of tea.

i think its really sad that people could spend so much money and attention on these dolls when there are real children in this world who desperately need a home and love and attention. Aside from the fact that to me they look very much like pictures of my aunts first child who was stillborn, how can people spend money buying these dolls designer clothing etc when real live children are in need all around the world - it really beggers belief imo. :(

I have removed my comment as I feel I might be judged as a nutter lol.

each to their own and happily so :)

not my cup of tea but I can see why people love/hate them. Either way they are a work of art :)

If they were cheaper (much cheaper!) they would make an amazing real life doll for mindees to snuggle

you are not a nutter!!

They are amazing though.

The skills that are required to make them are really impressive, I think.
