Hi

Im looking at getting a new camera as have a little spare cash left over from my Christmas fund (all presents bought some wrapped) So thought I would treat myself.

Im looking at something with 5x optical zoom (been told this is good) not too expensive but want video too as will be used for personal use too.

Reviews and suggestions appreciated. I have a Fuji finepix at the moment about 5years old maybe more !!

you won't go wrong with a canon ixus or a nikon, I'm not 100% sure on models etc cos I use a dslr but I know amongst my photo friends these get the best reviews x

I too have a Canon Powershot. The best camera I've ever had. It has a good optical zoom and a nice big screen. The only thing I'd like which it doesn't have is a viewfinder, so when the sun is behind me I can still see what I'm taking a picture of.

My mum has a Lumix which is brilliant. Fits in my pocket when we take the kids out. I have a Fuji Finepix but a bit bulky
