Hi all.

On our way home today from an after school club, it was dark :( Thought it would be fun to let the little ones loose in the park (large open space rather than playground) though didn't want to loose sight of them. Thought I would look into a high vis jacket for each of them, though if there are no lights, I wouldn't be able to see them!

Anyone use anything else? DH says a light on a hat/head band like a miners hat. Think the kids would live them but anyone use something similar?

Your braver than me lol.
I would be a bit worried about hazards the children and I couldn't see.

sound like great fun ! How about you give them torches ? sure they would love them and you'd be sure to spot them all a mile off. You can aso get glow sticks from the pound shops ??

or glow necklaces, it's be like a silent rave with all the children running round! I know the pound shop, home bargains and tesco all had them in around halloween and bonfire night

ooh, glow bracelets.

Put red on the right wrist, blue on the left then I can tell which way they are running :)

Oh and it's a small park near my home, not a big open space and I am sure they will love it!

When I was at school, we used to play a game called Night Attack, which was basically team tag by night. It was great fun.

By the way, it turns out wikipedia has a really good list of children's games (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Children%27s_games), including ones from around the world, in case anyone is interested!
