Hi,
I am thinking about childminding, have said hello in the hello section
The thing that is worrying me is space. I live in a 2 bedroom rented house, with just a living room and a kitchen (although the kitchen is big enough that it has a table in at one end we sit at for meals, childrens activities etc). Looking on Ofsted you can't count kitchen as space so basically they will just count my living room space, is that going to be enough for them to allow me to do it? It's not a small living room but not massive either, I reckon about average (it's ex-council house). I don't mind if they reduce the amount of children I have but just wondered if it's going to be too small altogether, considering they will already take my daughter off my numbers (son will be over 8 by time I start so should be ignored on numbers count I think?). I personally think I've enough space, I have good storage (and can re-organise it, for example put more of my own children's things in their bedroom), and have a large enclosed back garden. Any opinions on this? In a few years we will be looking to moving to a 3 bedroom anyway, but I really could do with starting childminding before this move. Thanks for any help x.
