Your Public Liabilty will now cover you for babysitting as well.

There are certain rules that you have to adhere to (isn't there always! )

- To be done in parents own home.

- only care for a maximum of 6 children between ages 0-15

- Complete an NCMA Babysitting Checklist which you can purchase from NCMA.

- The Checklist, which includes a Risk Assessment has to be signed by the parents.

Some do though you would be surprised

I suppose it is handy if you are only just starting out or you are working part time and need extra cash ?

Thanks Dee

My thoughts exactly

The mum of the little girl I have just taken on asked me if I do babysitting.....

My reply was polite but along the lines of I spend all day looking after the children I don't want to looking after them in what little free time I do get!!!

I'd do it if the money was right. Don't think they could afford me though.
