I just had a phone call from a Mum looking for childcare 1 day a week.

She said she doesnt mind which day, she just wants a days peace and wants her little boy to mix with other children his own age. He is 21 months, the same age as Ella.

I do have a vacancy on a Monday but wasnt mad keen to fill it. So I told her to come round tomorrow and we will take it from there.

I couldnt really understand what she was saying though so I dont know if she is coming at 10am or 2pm

Lol Its funny how you change your attitude to these visits.

I was having kittens for the first ones but now it doesnt bother me at all.

Im not convinced that I want to fill this vacancy as it is nice just having 2 little ones on the monday. Will have to see if I like him or not haha

I hope the vistit goes well and good luck whatever you decide to do.
I get worried when I used to have enquiries and witha visit I would panic, and yesterday when I had an enquiry I was not bothered by it at all! No panic, nothing! I even asked her if she wanted to come and visit me later that day! haha! What was I thinking being overly confident? It's a good job she said she'll ring back tomorrow.

Well Mum was a no show.

She text me at 2.30pm ( appt was 2pm) to say she wasnt coming ( had kind of gathered that!) She said she will call next week to re-arrange the appt.

If she rings I will tell her no thanks!

I dont really want to fill the place to be honest. Its nice just having 2 one year olds and being to get out and about easier!

Don't blame you. At least she text you though. I've had parents just not show with no word from them.

That was rude - she should have let you know earlier

I think you're right to say no after that - I would do the same

I agree - if she messes you about already how will she be if you did take her child on!

Also, sometimes its nice to have a quieter day!
