My co-childminder (daughter) will be starting with me from 31st October so I want to write a letter for parents to sign agreement for dual care they have all verbally agreed.
Just wondering would you start it Dear parent/s, Dear Mr/Mrs or put christian names.
Thanks

I start all my letters with first names. I think 'Dear Parent' is more suited to larger establishments (such as nurseries or schools), and I call them all by their first names.
In return, I'd find it very odd if they sent a letter to me addressed to 'Mrs Flisspaps'

I normally start letters with 'hello' or 're... our discussion' if it's more formal.
If I was handwriting I would put 'dear jane...' etc.
