Hi you're probably all fed up of me posting silly threads now, but one thing that just occured to me, my own kids love carving out pumpkins at halloween (we dont really celebrate it tho) but mindees family really dont like it!! What would you, would you do it anyway or just not do it? Not sure which way to go!!!

I'd probably do it out if working hours, saying that if a family disagreed with another festival, eg. Diwali I wouldn't avoid it.

The mum of my mindee is Christian and does not want her daughter taking part in Halloween celebrations so I will just do it with my own children outside of minding hours and make sure everything is cleared away when I have the mindee. Hope Ofsted are appreciative of my continuing efforts to work in partnership with parents :D

If mindee's parents are really against it then I would just do pumpkin carving with your own children when you're not working.

How about making autumn lanterns instead?
For example With leaves, squirrels, etc

I'd do this too.
