So I rang Ofsted to inform them and was told I needed to email them and include a RA for the building work.

I've covered building work to the external area eg garden/patio so risk of injury due to footings being dug, tools as a trip hazard, back gate being left unlocked or open.
I've covered risk of unsuitable people on site and also risk of dining window being removed in order for installation of french doors.

Have I missed anything blindingly obvious before I compose the email and send it?

Don't forget to mention your visitors's log. You must get all of the workmen to sign in and out each day whilst on site:D

I don't have a visitors log. I didn't think it was a requirement. I know it's probably "good practice" but TBH mindees are all at school and only here for any major length of time during the holidays. I rarely get visitors when I am working so I haven't bothered :o

You could just print out a simple form logging names, times in, and out should be adequate just to cover your bases:D
