Looking forward to this one

We had a mum visit yesterday with her 22 month old little girl. They are polish. Mum is lovely she is desperate for a place and will take any days we have spare as no other childminders have the space :eek:.

Mum and dad both speak polish to the little one but they would like her main language to be english so she will get on in life.

We are looking forward to teaching this little one new words and learning some polish words too.

Some advice is very welcome on this one and greatfully received

Ask Mum and Dad for a list of words you can print out and have in your setting. Words the little one will use and others like window door shelf toys etc will be useful. You could teach these words to the your other LO's so she feels included. is there a polish society or something like that you could get cultural info from?
