I have offered to babysit on friday evening (not to anyone I cm) just wondered if we're 'allowed' to do this?!! (In their own home) (stupid question, probably!!) Also how much do I need to charge (this person doesn't know I am a cm, do I need/have to tell them?!!) Sorry for thick questions, just dont want to do anything 'wrong'!!! lol

Yes you can babysit, I do sometimes for one of my mindees. Charges are up to you! If you are insured with ncma, you can fill in a babysitting checklist and then your insurance covers you, unless it has changed! Although you have to buy these sheets fron ncma. I am covered by morton michel for babysitting providing I have carried out risk assessments on the premises and parents sign to agree these. You don't have to do this though as you are caring for the child in their own home.
