Its all over!

I had my first graded inspection yesterday and it went really well.

Mrs O was really relaxed and friendly and put me at ease straight away over a coffee! I wasnt grilled at any time, we just chatted which felt a lot less intimidating that I had expected.

She watched me play with the kids, had a look round and looked through all my paperwork. I told her all the plans I had for developing the business as I am on a tight budget and need to plan ahead. She was really pleased and said that all the areas of development I had identified were the same as her thoughts and this meant that I was thinking along the right lines.

I only got halfway through my SEF and didnt submit it but I printed out the word document with as far as I had got and she said that was fine and if I wanted to leave it on that document and not submit it then that was fine.

I got good overall and am so chuffed with it. She said that Ofsted would email me the report quickly. Does anyone know how quickly they normally come through?

My report took a couple of weeks but it depends on the inspector :D

She said she was off home to type up the report and submit it that afternoon so fingers crossed it wont be long.

Thanks for all the advice and help as well. Your e-book was amazing (even though I am currently only up to page 55!)

WELL DONE on your inspection and grading. Bet you glad it all over and done with for a few years now. I still waiting for them to come out to me, 2 dates i gave them were last week but they did not come out to me, my third date was Tues 1st Nov 2011 which they said was too late as it had been 5 years since last inspection i needed to be done before the end of October 2011. So will have to wait and see what 1st Nov bring. :confused:

My report only took a week to come through, a friends took 2 months - much depends on the inspector!
