Hi just got a new tv and we use it for Wii and tv etc for mindees. How would u calculate how much I can claim for it?

I've always been told that unless you can prove it is solely for CM use then you can't claim......most probably wrong tho.

Mine broke in my minding room. Now my own teenage children use the room at wk end. So therefore use tv so I thought it fair to claim half. As if I was not minding I would convert it back to dining room and not require a tv.

I thought you could charge a percentage if it is for childminding children. I would.:laughing:

I was also told we could charge a percentage. So if it is used for childminding eg 25% of the time then we can claim 25% of the cost.

I was told by a tax officer we can't claim for tvs we watch or sky, broadband or games machines
