Hello everyone,

I just got my certifcate through today i passed my ICP exam - what a relief that is.
I really thought id failed - as the nerves got the better of me at one point.

Next is safeguarding then i can send my application off - its quite a long process really - i went to first briefing at the start of september and prob wont be registered until september time (is that a realistic time scale - if i sent application of middle June?)

Was hoping to have left work by June - HAHA!

Hope everyone is well!
Cheers
Rachel

Congratulations Rachel. :magnificent:

Don't really know about the timescales - I want to start in September myself have done the first aid, icp course starts tomorrow eve and when we have done some jobs around the house next week then my application will go off. I gather from reading threads on here that the CRB checks can hold things up sometimes but hopefully not - fingers crossed.

Best of luck with your new career.

 Congratulations rachel on your pass!!!!!!:clapping:

I left my job at the end of Oct when I decided to become a child minder, had my inspection at the beginning of November, did my course in Jan, passed my exam in Feb (although I must say I already had my CRB, my daughters school had just done my CRB check - that usually takes a while), could of started child minding in my old house but as I was intending on moving I waited, Now I have moved (02nd May) and am now just having my 1st 2 mindees to start next week just waiting for my new certificate before they can join. It can be quite quick you just have to keep on at them! Good Luck it's the best thing you can do to still earn and especially if you have children ;-)
