Just thought I'd share an idea I've had and make it my first proper contribution to the site yipee!!!:clapping:
You can use pillow cases as story sacks. Just make a few holes at the top and put a cord through. You can also get iron on transfers to put on the bag to make it look nice.

You could copy images from the books, laminate them and get the older children to sew them in place :D

I like this idea as not very good as making things, I usually ask my Mum so it will save her a job :clapping:

You could try scanning the front on the book and printing it on iron on transfer paper, image reversed. Of course you can only use this for your personal use because of copyright.

to scan image on to t-shirt paper you have to just change your scanner settings to mirror image, it really is that simple. tesco do t-shirt paper for 4.99 simply scan the book of your choice then iron onto your pillow case. i have done the hungry caterpillar i looks fab and it only took a few minutes.

Use the pillowcase from an old themed child's bedding set eg Thomas the Tank Engine or have a look for some in charity shops (Miffy?) or ask friends if they have any.
