View Full Version : Do you have a Pogo printer?

I know they were all the rage with CM's a while back but I didn't get one as at the time i was on mat leave and couldn't justify the extra expense.

However, I've been recently thinking of getting one. If you have one, what do you think of it? Do you still use it as often? Are there any negative points i should know? Where did you buy yours from and where do you get the paper/sticker refills from?

Thanks xx

I use mine every single day and wouldn't be without it. It is one of the best things I have bought.
The only down side is the battery, it will only print 2-3 pictures off before it needs charging again, so I leave mine plugged in all the time now.

I agree with TF - mine doesn't hold its charge at all, so its fine as long as its plugged in.

I have one and I love it - it was a recommended product from a childminder friend of mine. Great little gadget that is so easy to use. Bought mine from Amazon n will get refill paper from there too as it was the cheapest place :clapping:

Hope that helps

Lots of people on here have got Pogo printers and love them.

You can get them and the paper for them here:

AMAZON POGO PRINTERS (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s?ie=UTF8&x=0&ref_=nb_sb_noss&y=0&field-keywords=pogo%20printers&url=search-alias%3Daps&_encoding=UTF8&tag=childminding-21&linkCode=ur2&camp=1634&creative=19450">Name Your Link</a><img src="https://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=childminding-21&l=ur2&o=2" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;)

If you order from this link you will earn the forum some valuable commission which we use to fund the running costs and make it even better.

Only fault I can find is that it doesn't hold a charge. It seems to need to be plugged in all the time, otherwise I love it!!!!

I agree with everyone else, only negative is the charge but there again its no problem printing with it plugged in. I use mine regularly and we took it on holiday too so DS could do a daily journal with a photo

My older children print their own photos using the pogo and stick them in their learning journals/ scrap book.
I take photos as we play and print off and into lj at nap time, links made and it's done and dusted so doesn't take up the weekend.
Buy through the forum.

I have both the pogo printer and the pogo camera and printer in one.

I use one or the other all the time. They are quick and can be used for a range of things from labelling boxes, learning journals, daily diaries, reward stickers, evidence for SEF.

I am a big fan :)

I love mine and use it weekly.

As has already been stated it does not work with iPhone. It does work with HTC Desire and HTC Smart. (Don't know about other phones but if you name yours somebody may have it)

Make sure camera has pict bridge. That might be obvious for some, but when I bought mine I didn't know about pictbridge and thought it would work with any camera:blush: . It didn't. Luckily it works with bluetooth on my phone.

I just ordered one a few days ago:)

They have them on sale at Maplin at the moment for £29.99 (cheaper than Amazon). They also have refurbished ones for £19.99. I ordered the pogo from Maplin and the paper from Amazon (using the forum link):)

Just brought one, currently in the old setting we loaded them on the pc and then sent them off to be printed. You get a few 100 back and sit there stressed trying to remember why you took that photo and how much longer sticking all these in will take.

I love mine. I use it everyday for the daily diaries. Parents like it because they can see what their child has done and the children love looking back through their diaries and chatting about the photos:D .

I got mine from ebay but buy the paper through Graham's amazon link:thumbsup:

I bought one 18 months ago - sept along on a tide on enthusiasm for them here on this forum.

Have a play with it for half and hour, (had to use my camera as didn't work with my iPhone ) and to be honest I found it all a bit of a faff.

Just another thing eBay bound :(

My pogo does not like my new phone Samsung Galaxy Ace :( So mad as it seems I still have my old phone, bluetooth photos on new phone to the old phone and then to the pogo.
Don't want to be carrying my old phone around as well as the new one.

I select the pic I want to print on my phone, then press the "send via" button, select bluetooth & it brings up bluetooth options (my pogo & my laptop_..I select the pogo & it prints! (Songs long winded, but takes about 10 seconds)! If it asks for a code it's 6000.

I have never connected my pogo to anything:blush:

HTH:)

I too have one and makes LJ's so much easier.
As stated battery doesn't hold charge, mine has to be plugged in to use.
I have a Blackberry Curve and is compatible.
Seems to be quite a economical way to do pics for LJ's.

oh wow! i never thought of doing that  i can put speech bubbles and all sorts on through my phone!

i print so many photos with it, i really ought to take shares out in pogo paper! i even considered seeing how much it would cost to get the paper from a supplier, but didn't ever get that far!

Best thing I have bought too! Use it daily - plugged in though. Colours not perfect but ideal for childminding as quick and easy to show parents what their children have been doing.
I have bought the paper from ebay in bulk and shared with another childminder - I think we bought 70 packs between us and got a good deal!
I am sure you will love it!
