I get home from schol run to be met by DH saying 'some woman has phoned about you having her kid for a couple of hours'

'Well I can't I say - I can only have 4 if one of them is CG or EM' go into kitchen come straight back out as by then brain engaged ' Ah I say but I can as you are not at work and you are assistant'

Woman phones back at 10.03 explains is really stuck - does not ask how much. I say will do

10:55 Both parents arrive - fill in child record form and emergency permission form - leave their son crying with me.

10 mins later child(3) settled and playing - not any trouble at all for next 3 hours.

13:55 parents arrive - ask how child has been. Asks how much (I say double normal rate as a one off) they pay in cash say keep the change - and leave!

Oh well - nice bit of extra cash - but all a bit strange

Yes - well I think so ... cash went in purse with me to expo

So did it go towards hotel or pay for meal at Bella Italia or lunch at Expo (rip off price that it was) or did it go towrds the new resources I brought?

Who knows - but then again did it come back home with me as cash left in purse.

So as I said - well I think so :laughing:
