I am about to send off the forms to register to become a CM, first aid course booked, doctors report returned, course done. I will be childminding solely on the ground floor of my home - downstairs playroom, shower room with toilet, sleeping area etc. There will be no need for children to go upstairs - although I will still have a stair gate on at the bottom of the stairs.
In one of the bedrooms the window is very large and swings open from the bottom - about 2 foot from the ground - slightly lower than the bottom of "normal" windows - if that makes sense. In terms of safety - the window can be opened and you could climb out of it onto an extension roof slightly easier than a window that is installed at "normal height".
In any event - children would not have access to, or be encouraged to go upstairs - do you think this would be a big problem when it comes to registering? If so - any ideas on what I could do? Thanks in advance for your help.
