I have some lovely pictures of one of my mindees planting flowers and watering them. He will be 3 in December. Does this come under KUW and if so, whereabouts?

As he is approx 33 months you could refer to both sections 22 - 36 months and 30 - 50 months on the frame work.
When looking at the latter 30 - 50 months you will see that it fits into PD - using equipment and tools, KUW- exploration and investigation. These are the ones that stand out in regards to planting and watering a plant. Depending on what the little one did during the activity in regards to talking and the actions they did then there could well be more areas within CD, CLLD, PSRN and PSED.

I tend to look for one main link... and remember the wording for what you have seen is not always there in exactly the right words in the Eyfs.
I would link that obs to KUW and note that the child was finding out how things grow :D
