View Full Version : Booster seat advice (at a table, not in a car!)

At the moment the children sit at the little table to eat, but I want to move them to the dining table. I don't want to use highchairs (none of the children really need them now), but I do need something to sit them higher at the table.
I have got one of the plastic booster seats, but most days will need 3 and haven't really got room to store them when they're not in use & don't want to leave them on the chairs all the time.

So, is there anything out there that's quick to attach, but doesn't take up a lot of space?

I should add that the children don't really need to be strapped in. They're old enough to sit, just not tall enough.

I got one of these but find the children are still low. I was given two of these when I started minding

Very handy. I use them without the trays. They fold away for storage. The little ones can reach the table easily.

we needed another booster so just used a basic car booster. This worked just as well.

I can't remember they're called and can't find a link to them but I've seen feet that attach to the bottom of the chair legs that make the chair higher without needing a booster seat.

I have this one http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Booster-Seat-Mango/dp/B001NX6XZ4?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_2&nodeId=42773041&sr=1-2&qid=1315920460&pf_rd_r=1QWTRAF23CYG472FCP6C&pf_rd_m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=231490887&pf_rd_s=center-7
I have just looked at the bottom and you should be able to stack them no problem. i thnk they did in the shop. I ahve prefered this booster to the lindam one as I broke that one folding it too much.

These fold flat for storage and are easy to fit. They are costly but you can get them second hand and re-sell easily. We have one and it is really handy for a wide age range. Do check your style of chair though, it is not completely universal.

I paid full price for the first, found the second at a car boot sale and the third on ebay :D xx

Thanks, I've been googling them and couldn't find them, thought I'd imagined seeing them.

I have 2 of these too, there are really fab as the seat is reversible to be higher or lower. And they fold down smallish to pack away :D

I have a dense sponge cushion which I bought from Blooming Marvellous when DD was little - she is 17 now :) it has a red patterened cover and is brill. You could prob make one like it - just a thick square of foam

think they might have similar on ebay - no straps, weight of child holds it still - only use for stable children who are just too short - not tinies. My 2-4yr olds use it, wish I had another
