So cute, but how many of you do or would use one? Or do you think it is just over the top?

We had something similar for my nephew when he was potty training. We found that he would only use it for a seat sitting on it with the lid down. We got rid of it after a while and replaced it with a bog standard pot which he then started using properly

 at the price!! It's cute for the kids but I wouldn't ever use one. I don't like toys that have flashy lights, sing and bleep and don't really have any here so would hate a potty that did the same.
If a child needs a bit more encouragement here then they get a book to read on the potty

We had one Similar but it didn't cost that much but my son was brilliant on it and started to use it straight away when he hadnt been interested in a normal one, his friend had one too and they found it fab too

 @Helen with her book.

I have an aversion to gimmicky things so I'd be steering well clear of it.

I had one given to me and my dd loved it. She just didnt like the normal pottys. I thonk she liked the fact that it was the same as the toilet and she could flush it.

She was heartbroken when I finally gave it to a friend whose dd is loving it as much

Yes its expensive yes it gimmicky yes it annoying hearing the same song BUT if it works why not I have alot worse toys :)

not a chance would I have that, sorry. In fact we dont do pottys in my house it is straight on the toliet, its a pet hate of mine seeing potties around the house and children using them in front of the telly etc. Going to the toilet is just that, it isnt supposed to be play time or story time.

I think they are just money spinners, at the end of the day the child is on there to learn to pee and not to learn the latest tune :)

All they would need is a newspaper and they will be just like dad :ROFL1: :ROFL1: :ROFL1:

I agree. How hideous and what a price. :panic: How to you clean a thing like that?????

In fact the last three I have continued to train have never used a potty here, they have gone straight to the toilet no trainer seat or anything, simple.

I prefer to keep toilet training simple and down to earth. Has worked well for me for the last 17yrs.
