First signed contract and had to turn two down

you wait for ages then they all come at once.

The lady who came for the initial visit, signed a full time place at the same time, I was in shock, as I expected her to go away and think about it.

This morning I get two phone calls from prospective parents, wanting to sign contracts, I had to turn them down. Now I am feeling, what if the child doesn't turn up next week. She is going to pay me a retainer, but I will only get it on Friday. The child starts the following Friday.

I have started a waiting list which has parents numbers and emails. So if anything changes in the future i can pop them a quick txt or email to let them know.

Not everybody is lucky enough to find the right childcare for their child straight away, and would appreciate a message from yourself if your position changed.

It's really hard to start with - I feel for you! Over time you get a sixth sense about who is going to mess you about or not turn up or be brilliant but at the beginning it is sooo difficult.
