You know in the %'s of council tax, electric etc that we can claim for - do you work out the hours on contracted hours or worked hours? You see i have a mindee thats contracted 8:15 - 5:15 but is collected sometimes at 3:15 or 4ish, varies day to day. I have been working it out on worked hours but want to check if thats right?

Oh accounts - don't you just love'em?

I'm not sure and would be interested to know. I tend to stick to contracted hours but I've never had a parent pick a child up more than 10 minutes earlier than contracted times.:)

I am paid by the contracted hours so work out my accounts by the contracted hours.

Trust me it would become far too difficult to keep juggling it otherwise.

Well thats what i'm finding - I am also loosing out, ok not by much but it all adds up. The way i see it i'd rather the extra be in my pockets than Gordon Browns!

Think i'll chance it from now on then, how much easier will that be!

Oh bum! I did mine precisely using clocking in and clocking out times! Didn't take long but could have done without the faffing! Ha ha!

I do mine by the contracted hours - that is my income in - that is what i am paid regardless if they collect early- if i did it on hours worked then surely you would have more income than you are declaring if sometimes child is picked up early?

Of course not Lorri

It's just that a majority of us have been doing these accounts for years.

Trust me....when I first started it was a nightmare.....I didn't know what to claim and what not!
