[Little Poppins]

Hi All,

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the lovely sunshine!

During half term week I will be minding a boy who is 4 (nearly 5) who I have all the time but one of the days I may have to have his sister who is 11. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do with them both that they would both enjoy. Ideally it would be good if the weather is nice to have some outdoor activity.

I would say that an 11 year old will have pretty firm views on what she wants to do... I know mine have LOL!

Perhaps ask her for some ideas in advance, then you can set up a surprise.

I often take them out for a picnic or a treat at the local cafe when I have older children as a one-off.

I agree I would ask her what she wants to do

She might just want to chill out in the garden with a book or something and enjoy the nice weather

Make sure you have rules about her going out with her friends and that you speak to the parent about this first
I dont allow it but I know a lot of children that age do want to go out with their friends
So decide in advance what you are going to do
