Which book?

I am doing CCDL level 3 and as I am in Wales we don't have to obs, assessments and planning as such, however, I am realising as I progress through the course that it would be a good ides to start. I really am not very clear as to how to document things so can anyone recommend a book that is simple and clear with examples.
