Practical Logistics Advice (being stupid alert!!)

Evening all....have just been thinking about starting back tomorrow as Ive been off for two weeks.

Two sibling mindees I have are changing their hours as from tomorrow from afternoon collection to morning drop off at school (its 0-10 nursery during school hols) Anyway, I was sat thinking about what will happen when I drop them off and suddenly realised Im not sure how I can practically do it.

I will have the two school age boys and my 2 1/2 yr old dd - all of whom can of course walk and sort themselves out but I will then have a 13 month old and a 6 month old. The nursery does not allow buggies onto the premises and mums usually leave them in a special lock up thing outside - had thought about one one each arm but then there are the high lock doors and in and out buzzers to contend with....I just cant think how I will do it!!

Normally when I pick them up the 6 month old has gone so its very straight forward. Im sure Im probably being stupid and the answer is staring me in the face but I just cant think how I can do it!! Any advice much appreciated!!! :panic: :rolleyes:

This reminded me of when my grown up children were little. I had a 3 yr old to take to nursery, an 11 month old and a newborn.

I had to have the 11 month old on one hip with one arm and pull down the bottom handle, the newborn in a cocoon held in my teeth and open the top handle with the free arm whilst the 3 yr old stood between my legs so she didnt run away :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

I had to take them all with me because they were mine.

Ask the nursery if you can bring the buggy in or could a car seat attach to the buggy and carry that in with you

I would put the 6mth in a sling, carry the 13mth if they are not walking yet and have reins on the 21/2yr old.

I had this last year, I used to ring the nursery when I arrived and a staff member would come down and help me.

can the older children not open the doors for you hon? if not I would ring the nursery and explain the situation and if they won't allow buggies ask that someone escorts the child(ren) out to you..
