Yesterday was an exciting day for the Childcare Expo team! We took a trip up to the Ricoh Arena to meet with TTS and Learning Through Landscapes to work on our plans for the Early Years Outdoors: Magical Journeys feature at Childcare Expo 2011.

Learning Through Landscapes brought some great resources for us to play with and the TTS Early Years team brought some fab ideas for enchanting the area. We ended up mapping out how we will show you guys grass and sand with bed sheets and carpet samples! After some dirty knees and dreams of disco balls we have designed an area full of inventive and magical ideas that we know you’re just going to love!

What are your favourite experiences of being outside with your little ones?

Kimberley :)

Watching one lo go 'accidently' through a puddle with a car/bike/scooter (or something like that) and realise that it makes a mark/line on the floor! Then for the same lo to do it again and again and also for other lo's to watch and then join in!! This is amazing to watch!! x

Making collections - leaves, acorns, bugs, flowers - whatever catches the children's interests

Water painting - just brushes and water - keeps them occupied for ages

Lying under the trees and watching the clouds go by and the patterns the sun makes on the leaves

It's free ... you can pay for seminars if you want but the show itself is free :clapping:
